I can still remember my first trip to Walt Disney World and where I was when I caught my first glimpse of Cinderella Castle. I was 4 years old. We were waiting for the ferry to the Magic Kingdom, I was seated on the shoulders of my Grandpa, and it was magical! As a child, my family returned to Disney every year and every visit was as memorable and magical as the one before it.
When I had children of my own I decided to start my own annual Disney vacation tradition. I meticulously planned every detail of our first trip. The trip did not disappoint. We had a great time and my son summed it up best at the end of his first day in the Magic Kingdom, “this was the best day ever!”
During our most recent trip, my daughter, 3, experienced her own bit of Disney magic. As we entered the gates of the Magic Kingdom on the last day of our trip, a Disney Greeter leaned over towards her and said “Welcome Home Princess”. She looked at me, grinning ear to ear and whispered “he thinks I am a real princess”. She was delighted!
After more than 23 years of experiencing Disney’s magic, I wanted to find a way to pass on that magic to others.
