Hi, I’m Brian. I have a long, sometimes interesting story as to how I became to be a travel agent specializing in Disney destinations. I was first introduced to the Disney magic as a young boy in 1984 when my parents took me on a “once in a lifetime” trip to Walt Disney World. I still look fondly at those pictures as launching my love of Disney. Of course, I also look at those pictures and wonder why I’m wearing short shorts and a Members Only jacket (ahh, the 80s). It turned out that once in a lifetime trip became a long, winding road with many stops at various Disney parks.
My background is a bit odd for a travel agent; I have a degree in statistics and information technology and spent 10 years working as an analyst for various government agencies. What is not odd is my undying love of all travel and, specifically, all things Disney. Ever since my introduction, Walt Disney World has been a place of infinite hope, a place to arrest development and pretend that the whole world is a place of fantasy and wonder. It brings me back to the days when I was little and I hoped that someday I could make magic, and now I get to see that hope in my daughter’s eyes when I take her.
I chose to become a travel agent specializing in Disney because not only do I love my visits, I love planning for them. Over the years, I have discovered that I also love helping other people experience the Disney magic. Disney destinations can be a little overwhelming sometimes and I take great pride in being able to walk visitors through everything they need to know. That way they can enjoy all of the fantasy and wonder without getting caught up in all the “real world” minutiae.
A particular strength of mine is my uncommon love of extensive research. I spend a lot of time scouring all of my sources for the best possible way to enjoy all Disney destinations, whether they be saving money, finding “hidden” things, discovering optimal touring patterns, or unearthing all the wonderful stories behind everything Disney does. While I was writing this bio to tell you a bit about me, I was looking through some Walt Disney quotes hoping that one would fit my philosophy. It turns out that I could include several because I believe in many of the same ideals as Walt once did. Since this essay has gone on quite long enough, I will leave you with this wonderfully apt Walt Disney quote:
“The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.”
