Kim’s experience with Disney Destinations began with an Orlando family vacation in 1980, when she first fell in love with the Magic Kingdom. She then traveled to Disneyland with her high school marching band and performed in Walt Disney World’s afternoon parade with Syracuse University’s Pride of the Orange marching band a few years later. She became a Walt Disney World Cast Member right after graduation and remained with the company for 11 years.
Kim’s Disney vacation experience is extensive as well. Her trips to Walt Disney World have ranged from the romantic (guess where she got engaged?) to the young family getaway while on a budget to the multi-generational Grand Gathering. She is an expert at exploring “the World” while accounting for the unique needs of infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school-aged children, young adults, pregnant women, active adults, and adults with mobility difficulties. She has stayed at most of the Disney Resorts (Value, Moderate, Deluxe, and Deluxe Villa categories) and is a member of the Disney Vacation Club.
As a relatively new runner, several of Kim’s most recent visits to Walt Disney World and Disneyland have been centered around RunDisney events. She even takes time out of her Disney Cruise Line vacations to do the Castaway Cay 5K. She is the proud owner of medals from the Race for the Taste 10K, the Walt Disney World Half Marathon, the Disneyland Half Marathon, the Coast to Coast Challenge, the Walt Disney World Marathon, Disney’s Princess Half Marathon and the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon. She most recently added the coveted Goofy medal to her collection upon the successful completion of Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge in January 2011. She loves to share RunDisney tips with her clients, especially those who are also new to the running world!
