Hailed as the “travel industry’s equivalent to the Oscars,” the World Travel Awards acknowledge and celebrate excellence in the world’s travel and tourism industry and are one of the highest accolades a travel product can receive.
In 2009, more than 180,000 industry professionals cast their votes to recognize the best travel, tourism and hospitality products and services in the world.
Adventures by Disney also received two Travel Weekly Magellan Awards for outstanding consumer Web site and consumer collateral. Highly-recognized as the premier award for the travel industry, the Magellan Awards honor the best in travel and distinguishes those representing a high standard of excellence within the travel industry.
Travel Weekly’s 2009 Magellan Awards received entries from around the world that were judged by a panel of top travel professionals. Adventures by Disney received the gold award for Marketing, Consumer Website; and the silver award for Marketing, Consumer-facing Collateral distributed through the travel trade.
