I was 9 years old when I first visited the Walt Disney World Resort. From the walk down picturesque Main Street to finally meeting Cinderella in front of her castle, it was an unforgettable vacation that left its impression on me. We visited Disneyland on the other coast about four years later and, in our haste to get right into the magic, we did not carefully note our parking spot! I remember how we laughed and rode the tram around in circles later that night, in search of that elusive white rental car. Our family still laughs about that over a quarter century later.
When I became a parent, I was excited to introduce my son to Disney; but going to Disney World in the new millennium was so very different from when I visited as a kid! A trip now required a lot more pre-planning and researching: advanced dining reservations 180 days in advance, running around the theme park to get paper FastPasses, adding a dining plan (what type? how to use it? where to use it?), many more resort hotels to choose from — it made my head spin when I first dove into it. Luckily, gathering and sorting oodles of information is smack dab in my wheelhouse; our very first trip came together beautifully… after hours upon hours of thorough research, plus with the help of checklists of pre-trip do-tos, as well as spreadsheets containing all the different reservation times, confirmation numbers, and places to be.
We have since been to the Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort a combined total of nearly two dozen times in just the past five years. Even more has changed at both parks in that half decade. These trips have fed into a deep well of knowledge, a fountain of personal experience, and a thorough understanding of all things Disney parks. A treasure trove of Disney wisdom is at your disposal when you engage me to be your Travel Planner.
